WORKING AT HEIGHTS COURSE DESCRIPTION
Exposure to fall hazards in construction is a daily occurrence, but it doesn’t have to be! Unfortunately falls happen too often, and are the leading cause of fatalities in the construction industry. WAH Training’s Ministry of Labour-approved course, Working at Heights: Principles of Fall Protection, has been designed to provide learners with the knowledge required to safely work at heights.
Our program is broken down into two main modules: basic theory and practical equipment. The basic theory module discusses working at heights hazards, controls, introduces the learner to the basics of fall protection, and ladder safety.
The practical equipment module focuses on the application and use of the different fall protection systems, their components, and their limitations. Learners must demonstrate how to inspect the equipment, don and doff the harness, and maintain 100% tie-off. These are performance outcomes and must be achieved successfully.
